I just wanted to apologize for the giver post, the format is being all messed up so it sort of looks like a blob right now, I'll try to fix it when I'm not half asleep :)

Why I'm even doing this.

This blog is me writing about my reading. It began as a ELA assignment, but as everyone else in my class moves on to high school and forgets about their weekly reading entry blogs, I hope to keep mine up throughout high school and maybe college and as far into the future as my 14-year-old mind can imagine. I give credit for the title to my eighth grade English teacher- Ms.Robbins. It was a sort of saying of hers to look to what is good and true and real and to use these things as your life lines, to live off of those moments when all else fails. I've become completely obsessed with this idea- it's helped me greatly through eighth grade and continues to in the back of my mind. My hope- my goal- for this blog is that it can be one of those things for me- something that is good, and true, and real when nothing else is- something that makes me feel alive. Because I know that reading does that, and I know that writing is that. I want this blog to be a safe spot, a comfort zone, a home-base for what I love.
